Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were ok although a bit skimpy. They don't mention the need to stay stitch around the curved front and back piece seams (i.e. before you add the bib) but I definitely had to, to get the bib in properly and have it sit flat.
The hem is curved - if anyone hasn't tried a narrow, curved hem there is a useful guide on the BurdaStyle site.
Fabric Used: Sandwashed silk charmeuse from Potter Textiles Outlet shop in Perth. Cost - $15 for fabric (plus proportion of cost of Burda Mag) - music to my ears!
Pattern alterations:
I wouldn't normally have messed with this design - it is perfect in its simplicity. However, as it's summer here and this is a rather warm top, I added tabs to the sleeves so I can roll them up. Sleeves up -

The tabs are 2 tubes (finished length approx 30cm and width 3cm) with a buttonhole at one end. I put the unbuttonholed end in the inside of the sleeve and sewed a button through the sleeve and it.
Apart from that I just made a narrow shoulder adjustment and shortened the sleeves, which I always have to do. Oh and raised the neck split a tad, but maybe I could have left it as it was.
Conclusion: This is a really elegant, classic blouse pattern.
Really nice, I think I'll add this to my list too, it looks great just over pants and I bet it would look hot tucked into a pencil skirt too. Yay for Potters :)
